Question of the Day

Do you give unsolicited advice... if you can clearly see someone doing something wrong AND they seem to be suffering as a result? Or do you let them figure it all out on their own, cause, you aren't their parent. Hmmm, maybe I just answered my own question.

Depends on your emotional attachment to the person who is engaging in this questionable judgement. If you have no great depth of feeling for this person, and no one but he/she is being hurt, then let him/her learn the hard lesson. If you are a good friend, then this person could benefit from your kind guidance, lest, of course he/she takes offense to perceived meddling....

Your advice is great but it assumes I am capable of providing advice, to those I care about, in "kind." You may or may not be aware but I have inherited my mother's amazing ability to lack tact and restraint when it comes to expressing my thoughts. *wink*

But that's the beauty part about this...it's because of your savagely pointed outlook on all things that gives whatever gems of wisdom you dispense greater weight. Therefore, in this particular instance, the bloodied and mangled corpse you leave behind will thank you for being so caring and considerate, albeit brutal.
