Proud to be a Virginian today

Caught this on Brian Williams tonite:
VA Governor Tim Kaine signs Virginia up to be the first state to mandate adolescent girls to get HPV vaccine.

Now, yes, I am on the fence as to whether or not the vaccine should be "mandated." That's a pretty powerful message. But I am thrilled to be in a progressive state that wants its kids to be protected from an STD that can be passed by skin-to-skin contact (yes, read my lips, you don't have to have intercourse to contract this disease) & that causes cervical cancer. Its parents who are denial of their sexually active kids that really scare me.
