Hockey: Pens verses Caps

Quick post (so I can watch my Thursday night shows!).
We went to DC this past weekend to catch the Pens verses the Caps.
My company works with a national photographer (company) who happens to own a suite at the Capitals stadium. Well, technically, they co-own/share it with another company but, whatever, we can go see every other home games for FREE.
So, Rob and I got in on the Penguins match (as Rob would say, " 'natch") for Saturday night.
We originally planned to stay over at A & J's house in Columbia Heights but decided last minute not to. Eve really hardly slept last time. Rob and I preferred putting her in the crib for a half night's sleep (after getting home inevitably late) over the half-assed sleep at their place. When all was said and done, we were in bed by 1:30AM that night.
Anyhoo, we drove up around 3PM and got to A & J's around 5PM to drop Evie off. One metro ride later, we met with the group at 6PM at China Garden in Chinatown. After an amazing family style chinese dinner, we arrived at the game a wee bit late to enjoy the fabulous sweet. Er, suite.

The group consisted of myself and a co-worker (we each brought somebody else) and 4 people from another national company (one guy brought his wife and kids.... another girl brought her boyfriend). All in all, an odd mix of people but it turned out to be great fun half-way through the night. It didn't hurt that Rob was a lone Penguins fan in a room full of Capitals fans. Of course, half the stadium were Pen fans so he wasn't entirely alone....
Here's our view:

Free beer all night long and one amazingly RICH and OVER-proportioned dessert later:

And a great time was had by all.
I'm anxious to take advantage of this opportunity again and eagerly look forward to getting my grubbie little hands on the season list to see when we could go again.
Hell, I'll even wear a jersey next time.
